Coventry Cathedral
The Cathedral were looking for a new accounting and payroll system to replace their outdated Pegasus software. They had many of the requirements of typical businesses - staff to pay, costs to control, income to generate - but they also had to meet the accounting rules of the Charity Commissioners, bring up to date their nominal structure, and ensure that their finances are managed to the standards laid down by the Cathedral authorities.
Elite worked with the Cathedral to ensure that all their requirements were met. After a detailed demonstration and several discussions, it was agreed that Sage Line 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll fitted the bill. And the price was right too. With the help of a grant from Business Links and a discount offered for upgrading from Pegasus software, the necessarily limited budget was met
Elite staff installed new cabling and a networked PC and carried out a phased installation and configuration of the software. The Cathedral staff were trained in half-day sessions over a periods of weeks to give them time to gain confidence in the new system. Longer term, Sage Cover and Elite's local support gives the Cathedral's staff the reassurance that help is just a phone call away.
