Elite Now in its 10th Year

A Coventry IT firm has celebrated a decade in business with a 50 per cent rise in turnover.

Elite Business Services, in Barkers Butts Lane, is a leading software supplier and advisor with more than 300 clients across the UK.

The firm, founded by Zaid Rehman and Tahir Iqbal, recorded the growth after expanding its operation and successfully taking over another Midlands company. The two founders have combined their IT and accountancy backgrounds to specialise in accountancy and CRM software and are now one of the top five resellers of Access Accounting software in the country.

Iqbal said: “We are delighted to mark our milestone with such considerable rise in growth and we will be looking to repeat the success in 2006.

“We have always concentrated on providing a very full service and we do far more than just sell software.

“We carry out a full needs-analysis, build a prototype package for clients, carry out full end-user training and follow up with full maintenance.

“We have a team of support staff permanently on call to assist clients in anyway they require.

“We now have clients in many different sectors stretching from Wales to Yorkshire and East Anglia, and the beauty of Access is that it can be built to suit the needs and size of clients from the smallest firms to ones with 500 staff operating from several sites.”

The buy out of Wolverhampton based Idec enabled the company, which employs 10 staff, to expand rapidly in 2005, but they expect more significant growth over the next 12 months.

Iqbal added: “We have expanded our headquarters and are planning to take on new staff early in the year. We grew by 25 per cent in 2004 and aim to continue to that level of growth.”

Elite’s clients include Belgrade Theatre, Loveitts, Christian Vision, Bolyer Engineering, Gaz de France, and British Triathlon.
